The following is a really interesting observation around viral marketing for positioning of the e-leanring team at Bath. It also demonstrates the importance of us keeping our tweets and blog posts going.
I wrote on the 3rd June, a blog post on the QR Service Blog Site (http://blogs.bath.ac.uk/qrcode) entitled “a year in the life of QR codes at Bath”, I then tweeted from my own twitter account, and it is also auto fed into the eatbath tweeter account.
This quickly spread through various communties, with the url to the blog post being re-tweed 26 times !!! (a record for us at Bath). A quick look at the Google Analytics from the site indicates on the 3rd june the number of unique visitors to the site was 89, compared to an average of around 20. A four fold increase !!!!
