UCS Elevate Software Mix
As previously mentioned the Elevate Team are implementing a mixed economy software solution. The idea is to provide, support and recommend a core number of packages for staff and students to use at UCS, and facilitate staff as they use externally hosted solutions where we facilitate good practice in their use for teaching, learning and assessment.
So, similar to models I’ve implemented elsewhere (http://www.bath.ac.uk/learningandteaching/themes/e-learning/tools). The idea is to coordinate, and standardise around a number of UCS tools which are supported by various units / teams (ITS, Research, Library etc.,).
The support level will change, with tool and team ownership. However, the expectation would be a number of FAQs (http://faq.ucs.ac.uk), and a number of staff development events (workshops, master classes and seminars).
The tools are represented visually via >> http://docs.google.com/present/edit?id=0AcaF5QN3s_UDZGY2azRwajVfNzg2Y2twYnZkZzg&hl=en&authkey=COHG-J4C
